Road Trip!!!
School finished for the semester Friday morning.... and since then I've covered roughly 1500 miles! :) Got a lot of ground to cover the next few weeks. My roommate and I traveled from TX to Arkansas the first night. 2nd day was AR to just south of Chattanooga, TN in Georgia. Yesterday, I drove from GA to west of Knoxville for church, then east and south to Kings Mountain, NC. Today you would have found me traveling from south NC to north VA. Whew.... what a few last days.... good times always.
somewhere in Virginia |
Saw a burning truck on the side of the road, that scared me when I was driving past, because something popped underneath the axle and we could feel the heat in our car. Saw much of AR, TN, NC and VA. Pretty country, I can imagine its much prettier in the spring and summer. Right now its pretty brown and bare, but still pretty. And best of all, saw many friends! and met new people! Some I hadn't see in 4 years, some more recently, but its always good to see friends.

I am constantly reminded how good God is! What a God He is, One I can completely trust in and know that no matter what happens or where I am, He takes amazing care of me! I hope you don't forget either how good He is and remember to thank Him for it. He honors those who honor Him.

Snow in Texas!
It Snowed here in Texas yesterday morning!!!! I had left the window open the night before, so when I woke up, it was pretty cold in my house. Then I got up and looked out the window...... I couldn't believe there was actually snow on the ground. I was super excited, I yelled for my roommate and we both went outside for a few minutes. Course it was good by noon, but hey, it still snowed here!!!!
Yes, I do miss the snow back home in Alaska.

Thankful for....
I know Thanksgiving was last week, but as a Christian and an American, I don't think I should retain my thankfulness to just one day a year. God loves thankfulness in us. And as I heard preached recently, thankfulness is not just being thankful in the heart, it is actually the expression of gratefulness. So, I want to express how thankful I am for....
1. my Saviour, Jesus Christ, who is my Redeemer, Friend, Father, Teacher and so much more! He is ever faithful to me and continues to grow me each day. I love you God!
2. my parents - who taught me so much... thank you especially for teaching me to be a hardworker
3. my brothers and sisters - thru the good times, the bad, the crazy and the hilarious
Wouldn't trade you guys for anyone
4. my church, Bible Baptist Church of Fairbanks, AK. amazing
5. being an American - living in the land of the free, because of the brave
6. being an Alaskan - enough said
7. friends all around the world! I love staying with you and enjoying your company
8. close friends, who challenge, encourage and reprove me when needed
9. a car so I can travel (its even one of my favorite colors) :)
10. preachers - who are unashamed of the Gospel and of speaking the truth
11. The Word of God - alive, convicting, comforting
12. Tanna - a good friend, who keeps me updated with the news back home and sends me pictures ;)
shout out to Tanna and my sister, Tolovana! :) |
I like this one better (see Alamo post) |
